Bar Camp Bangkok

BarcampBangkok will be the first ever Barcamp in Bangkok! Barcamp is free of charge for all participants and will include presentations, lightning talks, and meetups on various topics of interest to the Bangkok tech community.

This is a collectively-owned community event. Every attendee is expected to participate in some way, however small. and help make it happen. BarcampBangkok can be the tech event you've always dreamt of, if you make it that way!

What is BarCamp?

What is BarCampBangkok?

BarCampBangkok will be a bilingual (Thai/English) BarCamp. It will be strictly BarCamp-style, and focused on technology, the Internet and its impact on our everyday personal and corporate lives. Come mix it up with us!

Communications Channels

IRC Chat

#barcamp-bangkok on Freenode. The organizers are there discussing plans--if you want to help out, volunteer, learn more about BarcampBangkok, or just talk tech, come chat! If you need a client for IRC, I recommend mIRC for Windows http://www.mirc.com/. For Linux, Mac and other OSs, see http://www.ircreviews.org/clients/ for extensive lists of IRC clients for other platforms. IRC is little more complex then something like MSN Messenger--if you need assistance, google for a tutorial for the software you are using for IRC--that should help make things easier to get set up. If you are using mIRC, there is good tutorial on getting started on IRC at http://www.ircbeginner.com/ircinfo/mirc.html. (It might help to read even if you are not using mIRC.)
