When the schedule was written on the board it was blocked into 60 minute chunks. I found that some talks that could have easily filled 30 minutes dragged at 60. It would be useful to be able to schedule in 30 minute slots but allow people to take two if they felt they had enough material.
Sky O.: Could perhaps have been nice to see more "cooperative events." On the main page for BBC2 it says "you can participate in discussions, demo your projects, or join into another cooperative event." Besides the programming competition, everything was mostly talks, demos, and a few discussions. Anyone think we could get barcamp to be even more interactive than it already is? It's just a thought. This barcamp was really fun anyway.
many sessions ran into the breaks between sessions. explicitly listing the breaks on the board might prevent this. - RajivManglani
the programming contest was excellent and it was great to end the second day with an event for everyone. the additional time slot after the contest was scheduled but not used. - RajivManglani
could we get a job posting board next year? - RajivManglani
Questions
- StevenBao: Can anyone find my 90W Dell power adapter? In room 141 (I think) or whatever the last room the conference was hosted, fourth or fifth row, middle column, near the left end (facing the front of the room).
- Money: Do you guys still need donations to help cover costs? If there's a deficit post it so we can chip in.
