LightningTalks at BarCampBoston2

Lightning talks are 5-minute talks on a specific topic, usually given by one person. Rather than getting a whole 30-minute session, lightning talks can be held in rapid succession or occur around sessions, in any nook and cranny.

Give a Lightning Talk

  • Add your name and talk subject to this list
  • Cool Tools 2 - A follow-up to last year's Cool Tools session. 5 minutes to recommend a cool tool that makes your life easier. The only rule? No pimping your own work.
    • ChrisBall: How about a modification of that rule -- you're only allowed to pimp your own work if it's freely available. (Personally, I love hearing people being enthusiastic about something they've created..)
    • RodBegbie: Perhaps we could split it into two different sessions: Cool Tools (which is no-pimping), and "Pimp Your Wares" which is *only* for self-promotion.
  • Erica George on badware & site security - This is a project I work on so I hope that's OK. I don't intend for this to be a self-pimp though. I want to talk about the general problem of badware and website security, public awareness, etc.
