Q: Where can I get a linear explanation of this event, which isn't self-referencing and doesn't contain all sorts of in-jokes? Particularly, I would like to know what topics are generally covered at these events. Thanks! - Brat

A: BarCampBoston is an unconference, which is a conference without a strict schedule or topics. The entire conference is scheduled dynamically on the whims of the participants and the community. As you meet and connect with others, topics and discussions will begin to unfold, and from those discussions, more and more sessions can unfold. BarCamp is about meeting people, learning and sharing. We expect many people from the technology and business community to be involved. You could walk into anything from a discussion on Ruby on Rails and How to Balance My Checking Account to Large-Scale Fortran Implementation and How to Web 2.0 with Mac OSX Server.. BarCamp events are usually two day events, thus an overnight stay and the "Camp" in BarCamp. - RonAyers
