Sponsorship Details

On March 15 & 16th the Brighton geek community is running a

free-to-attend event at the University of Sussex for 48 hrs of talks,

coding and socialising. It's an event run by the local geek community

for the local geek community. The first BarCampBrighton was a storming

success with nearly 100 designers, developers, entrepreneurs and

user-experience engineers invading the Madgex offices for a series of

talks on everything from a Crashcourse in SEO to Avioding the User

Experience Dark Side.

You can read the full BarCampBrighton1 schedule here:

http://barcampbrighton.backnetwork.com/schedule/

We're hoping that BarCampBrighton2 will be just as successful, and

given our new venue at the leafy University of Sussex campus, a little

larger. We're aiming for 150 attendees this time.

BarCamp events are non-profit, free to attend, are organised for free

and the venues are typically donated for free too. But we like to feed

and water our geeks whilst they're there, so typically this is what we

ask our sponsors to help us out with.

BarCamp events are generally blogged about in great detail and you

should receive some good coverage as well as the gratitude of a whole

bunch of local talent. BarCamp sponsors get a number of guaranteed

attendee places (BarCamp events are pretty popular; the last Brighton

one was fully subscribed in under 30 mins of it being announced) and

they're excellent opportunities to do a bit of head-hunting.

To make things as easy as possible for our potential sponsors, we have

a number of "packages". Each (apart from the USSU staffing, which is

£1k or £500/day) is £750 (prices based on £5/head being spent

on 150 attendees). Currently these packages are:

1. USSU staffing ( 15th & 16th march-) - -£1000 £500 Saturday staffing costs kindly sponsored by Linden Lab, Sunday staffing costs kindly sponsored by Realtime Worlds

All the following are priced at £750
