10.00 to 10.30 AM:  Break and voting for morning topics

10.30 AM to 12.30PM:  Multiple sessions in multiple rooms 

12.30 to 1PM: Lunch and voting for afternoon topics

1PM to 3PM:  Multiple sessions in multiple rooms

3 to 3.30 PM Tea break

3.30 PM to 5.30 PM: Multiple sessions in multiple rooms 

5.45 PM: Barcamp closing

How does the voting for topics work at the barcamp

You can run a discussion, panel or plain old presentation+Q&A. We suggest doing interactive sessions, where the audience can participate.  

If you have figured out your topic, take a topic sheet form us and write down your topic, your name etc. and  paste it on the topic board. All of us at the barcamp will get a chance to vote for the topics that we want featured. We have multiple rooms, so the sessions can run in parallel. Each presenter will get 25 minutes. We have pre-slotted few sessions- these are the people who sent in their topics early on.

 

Notes for those presenting

Technically you have only 25 minutes, as we need 5 minutes for people to exit and enter. If you are showing PowerPoint, try to keep it short - say 10 or 15 minutes and spend more time on discussions, Q&A. If you have some pictures, say a case study that features your customers, and you don't want these blogged, please caution the audience before you start the presentation. Post your presentations on Slideshare.net with the tag barcampsg4

If you had submitted you topic in advance, please check the topic board at http://bit.ly/barcamsg4topics for the times we have slotted you in. The rooms may change but we will try to stick to the times.

 

Note for those attending sessions

Barcamps have something called the "Law of Two Feet"  If you don't find  the discussion in your room interesting, move on to another room. We have about 200 people joining us,  we wanted to accommodate as many as we could, there might only be standing room in some of the sessions.

 

We need your help

The internet at the venue might not be enough for all of us. So if you have a 3G wireless router, please bring it and share your bandwidth. Just tweet your SSID with the tag #barcampsg4. Get power strips/extenders too.  if you are taking pictures, shooting videos, blogging, twittering etc, use the tag barcampsg4. This would help us collect the resources.

We are putting in effort to encourage participating from the creative arts, culture and social sciences. We are also inviting non-profit social organisations to join us to share your initiatives, ideas and challenges.

Great ideas and innovations usually emerge from a combination of right and left brain thinking! We think that this potent combination of people, ideas and raw energy with be both amazing and immensely rewarding.
