The event is in Longueuil, which is across the river from downtown Montréal. This event is accessible from the Montreal Metro (subway) system. Get off at "Université de Sherbrooke" metro station. Don't be confused with the city of Sherbrooke which is 150km away. See map

What is Blitzweekend
Designers, developers, entrepreneurs are invited to design, build and deploy a project, a product, a technology in 48 hours. At the end of the event, participants will vote for the most promising project.
Teams can build a web-based application, widgets, mobile applications, video games etc. This is a very limited list, and we hope some of the teams will come up with fresh ideas. Just two criterias: it has to be in technology and it must be innovative.
We aim to make Blitzweekend fun, open and intense.
Fun, because you’ve spent too much time lately to build your startup or your last home project, and it’s time to do something different and creative now.
Open, because the event will be following the model of open conferences like BarCamp. The event is free, and the organization of the event will be shared amongst participants. Feel free to shout a message to hello@blitzweekend.com
Intense, because the event in itself is a challenge. Will you be able to produce code, designs, or plans faster than you’ve previously done? Will you be able to beat other teams? Will you be able to push yourself to your limits for 2 days?
NO SPECTATORS, ONLY PARTICIPANTS!
When you come, be prepared to share with blitzweekenders (?). When you leave, be prepared to share it with the world.

Upload all photos to Flickr, all presentations to Slideshare, all videos to Youtube or dailymotion; use the tag Blitzweekend.
Editing the Wiki
If you edit the wiki, please be sure to edit the French side also. If you cannot write in French, please put some (traduction svp) tags around your text (/traduction svp) and a member of the community will be happy to help. In the same vein, if you see a translation mistake anywhere, please help correct it; we depend on the community to support this endeavour!
Language Policy
The language policy of Blitzweekend is simple, and reflects Canada's bilingual heritage.
All written materials from Blitzweekend (wiki, handouts, etc.) will be in both official languages of French and English. All texts are written and translated by participants. If you should spot any inconsistencies in the wiki, please help out by contributing corrections.
Individual speakers are encouraged to present in either of the official languages in which they are most comfortable. It is not required to have real-time translation. It is appreciated if any handouts and notes provided are in both official languages, though not required.
Individual participants are always encouraged to talk about Blitzweekend, blog about Blitzweekend, or contribute in some other way via their personal websites, blogs, etc. in any language of their own choosing.
