Currently, all of the community gardens have long waiting lists, much of the population resides in apartment complexes that do not allow gardening, and very few people utilize sharingbackyards.com.

Mapping the city
|
OpenStreetMap is a global project to collect detailed, open source map data, and there is active participation in the project around DC. Learn about the project, how to collect and enter data, and how to make use of the data (combined with DC GIS data) to make custom maps, applications, and in other ways. Such information mapped out can help highlight problems and provide perspective for thinking about solutions. On Sunday, we can go over to the H St Pop-up Lab and from there go out and do mapping in the H St NE neighborhood.
