Brain dump of stuff the Wellington (NZ) e-Government event might need:
Hardware stuff
- Datashows, one for each room (4?) - supplied by Fronde.
- Wifi - supplied by Fronde. It won't cater for 100% watching YouTube at the same time but it'll be there. Plus Fronde will put in some direct-to-internet cable connections as well.
- some bandwidth - Mike Riversdale to check
- any cool toys that participants want to bring with them
- Couple of spare laptops / Server for sharing files
- Shared flash/thumb drives for sharing files (depending on size of files to share over wifi
- If using thumb drives, make them read-only, as trojan horses now use them as an infection mechanism
Paper stuff
- Print and photocopy facilities (do we need this?) - supplied by Fronde. Have to use a Fronde networked PC though so might have to set-up some sort of 'process' (ick)
- Do we need name tags? (CJ - yes, it helps people know who everyone else is) - Hannah and Kara (Fronde receptionists) are happy to be the 'welcome people', hand out tags, give any material etc etc - also happy to sell coffees as well :-)
- Flipchart paper - supplied by Fronde
- Colour whiteboard that saves drawing to file - supplied by Fronde (printable ones as well)
- Whiteboard and marker pens - supplied by Fronde
- Blu-Tack??
- Post-It Notes??
Room stuff
- Enough chairs for participants (40?) - supplied by Fronde
- Tables, at least one for each room + extras (8?) - supplied by Fronde
- Rubbish bins (we should be good and recycle... maybe we should try and not print/photocopy) - supplied by Fronde
Wetware stuff
- Water/Tea - supplied by Fronde
- Coffee machine and supplies - supplied by Fronde: instant=make your own; proper=Hannah & Kara for a charge (money kept by Hannah & Kara, not Fronde)
- Water fountain & cups - supplied by Fronde
