HealthCampSFBay is the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of a growing HealthCamp movement which advocates leveraging IT and social media to facilitate conversations about changing the way healthcare is delivered in this country and around the world. The group aims to bring together individuals from different disciplines to discuss ways to collaborate and solve healthcare challenges such as:

  • Enabling the patient - provider relationship
  • Leveraging open standards from social networking for healthcare
  • Electronic health records management
  • New ways to deliver healthcare

 

How Does #HCSFBay fit into the Health 2.0 Ecosystem?

  • HealthCamp is a growing movement of self-assembling teams passionate about 'global healthcare reform through technology known as Health 2.0', #HCSFBay is the San Francisco chapter.
  • The Health 2.0 conferences are held by a team led by Matthew Holt and Indu Subaiya and are structured events positioned to industry professionals.
  • The Health 2.0 Accelerator is a incubator for Health 2.0 companies.

When are the Proposed Meetings?

Our goal is to provide two major events per year which will most likely be in an unconference format to facilitate discussion and problem solving. We also aim to hold smaller more intimate discussions every other month in various locations around the city.     …come join the HealthCampSFBay team in exploring what’s developing on this exciting health gaming front - and then try out the games your yourself! Healthy beer and snacks will be available as a panel of developers discuss their recent game projects on the Wii, iPhone, as well as PC. We’ll then open a few consoles for you to actually try the games out.

     

    HealthCampSFBay is a group of passionate consumer-focused healthcare advocates trying to engage industry and the public in healthcare problem solving.  This event is hosted at the newly opened Tech Liminal, a technology hotspot and salon in Downtown Oakland.  Tech Liminal provides Internet services, training, and event space for small businesses and the local community, focusing on making technology accessible to everyone.
