You can sign in to BarCampVancouver2008 at either of the following times:
- Friday night at WorkSpace, 21 Water Street (in Gastown, not on Granville Island) at 7:00pm
- Sat morning at the Arts Club Revue Stage on Granville Island at 9:30 am
Technically speaking, BarCampVancouver2008 is free. However, we've got plenty of expenses to cover. To make this and future Barcamps a reality, we're asking for a suggested $20 donation from each attendee. That includes a lovely BarCamp Vancouver t-shirt.
Friday Night Party at WorkSpace
We're holding a party on Friday night at WorkSpace, 21 Water Street in Gastown. The party gets underway at 7:00pm., with food & drink being served along with your sign in to BarCampVancouver.
WorkSpace also has wifi, multiple rooms, and in general places to kick off the "camp" early. We'll be suggesting that people move on from WorkSpace to another venue when the evening gets late, so people can hack on personal projects or join forces around whatever moves them.
Saturday
We're taking over Granville Island. Here's a map showing all three venues.
As is traditional with BarCamp, we'll begin the day at 10:00am with a 'scheduling jam' at the Arts Club Revue Theatre. Speakers will have 30 seconds to pitch their sessions, and we'll lay out the days events. There's a nascent list of topics on the Barcamp Vancouver page and here's the working schedule for the day.
Venues are about a 5 min walk from each other. Look for the neon pink signs. Parking is limited, bike or take transit if possible. Information on getting to Granville Island.

Food On Saturday
We won't be providing food this year, as you'll be surrounded by many fine options on Granville Island. Feel free to fill out GranvilleIslandFoodOptions with your recommendation. There's everything from great coffee at JJ Bean, to Sake tasting brewed right on the island.
