Quickly build better websites with Mojolicious.

A fast perl framework, ready for the future.

Henk van Oers will give a two day workshop, on Monday and Wednesday. This workshop will introduce the usage of Model View Controler (MVC)[1] and is based on the perl[2] module Mojolicious[3].

Day one is an introduction about perl, Mojolicious and MVC. After installing Mojolicious attendees can work with the View (templates), Controler (URL to subroutine router) and (if needed) a (database) Model. There is no need for a webserver like Apache nore for a database server like MySQL (but you can use them if you want). Next we will look at the future of the web: Websockets[4].

On Thuesday Henk will work out the special interests or learning goals of the attendees.

The next day attendees can implement there websites, like blogs, photobooks, there own CMS, interface to public data, or whatever they come up with. If needed they can use building blocks prepared by Henk on Thuesday. These websites can also be put on a remote server and/or integrated into one big demo website.
