What is a Real Estate BarCamp?

 

Well, before answering that, maybe we should start with what a BarCamp in general is. From wikipedia:

 

An unconference is a facilitated, participant-driven conference centered around a theme or purpose. The term "unconference" has been applied, or self-applied, to a wide range of gatherings that try to avoid one or more aspects of a conventional conference, such as high fees and sponsored presentations. For example, in 2006, CNNMoney applied the term to diverse events including BarCamp, Bloggercon, and Mashup Camp. The term is primarily used in the geek community, though as of 2009 it has also started to appear in the travel and real estate industries.

 

 

Who will be there?

 

Agents, brokers, lenders, investors, title companies, building inspectors, insurance companies, CoB and CoCS planning folk, Texas A&M Professors, Urban planners, economists, etc. If you have anything to do with Real Estate, show on up!

 

Why should I attend?

 

To meet others in the industry.
