What is UXCampSeoul?

UXCampSeoul is an one-day BarCamp in Seoul for anyone involved or interested in user experience design, interaction design, information architecture and usability. This is the first time UXCamp is planned in Korea and under the “eXperience Now” motto, which will try to bring a focus on the experience of doing thru direct participation in field activities.

With 35 sessions total divided in 7 tracks we expect to have a great variety of themes, topics and experiences that will flow through the interest of the audience and expertise of the presenters.

This is a un-conference kind of event and born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment so join us and share with us your experience.

• Registration can be cancelled and fees will be returned only during the registration period.

Timetable

How to participate in UXCampSeoul 

• By becoming a Presenter
  • Bring your UX-related material (slide presentations, discussions, demos, workshops, games or any means you prefer) and be ready to present. There are 35 slots to fill up!
  • If your session will be in Korean, please add useful English notes to your slides.
  • Prepare your material in advance.
  • Get a slot on The Board, which will be in place at the fifth floor of the building.
  • Prepare short introductory sentences to let people know what you're going to present at Opening.
  • Present you material to people, on your slot.
• By becoming a Panelist
  • Find or propose an interesting topic to discuss and join others to the conversation, if the session is interesting enough it will drive people and ideas will flow.
  • By tweeting, taking videos, photos or/and blogging about the event (make sure you tag your content with #uxseoul so we can find it later).

Directions

• By subway
  1. Get off at "Seoul National University Station (서울대입구)" of Line 2 (Green), find an exit number 3, and then take bus 5511 at a bus stop, 30 meters away from the exit, nearby the Starbucks store (make sure not to mistake with buses 5513, 5515 or 5520).
  2. Take off at the Business Administration College (경영대), which is the right next stop after the bus passes through the front gate of SNU. You can walk to the building from the bus stop - three minutes away. (Sounds too tricky? Check the directions at Google Maps!)
• By bus
  • Buses coming into the campus: 5511, 5513 (from the subway station side) or 5516 (from Shillim side).
  • Buses stopping at the front gate of SNU: 5411, 5412, 5517, 5522, 5528, 5613, 5614, 6003, 6511, 6512, 6513, 6514, 501, 502 or 750.
• By car
  • If you are taking a taxi cab, then ask the driver to take you the Business Administration College of Seoul National University (서울대 경영대).
  • The campus has not enough parking spaces. Public transportations are highly recommended!
  • Parking fee won't be reimbursed.
