Social Innovation Camp Delhi is a gathering to discuss how crowdsourcing can be used to solve problems in the social context. The motivation for this is to spark social innovation at the local grassroot level across towns and cities in India. Can entrepreneurial skills and ideas be used to come up with out of the box solutions that eventually give rise to social enterprises?
“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete” – Buckminster Fuller
The above quote is a starting point for social innovation but the question is
- How do you build a new model? Do you build it yourself? Do you take the help of others? Who would you team up with?
- Can we assume that innovation will be born naturally or can we help spark it? Do we even know what the problems are?
- What would it take to create a generation of social innovators?
This is an informal open to all event where we will brainstorm ideas, explore opinions and put together a basic roadmap for creating an event that encapsulates the essence of crowdsourcing in the social context.
