RapidFire Sessions

We're inviting anyone with an innovative idea/approach to fostering social innovation in the WANA region, with an emphasis on the more fragile, post-conflict, and developing countries, to present a rapid-fire 5 minute presentation (15 slides of 20 seconds each), followed by five minutes of questions. If it's not clear from the presentation, the first two questions will be:

  1. what is the innovation?, and
  2. what is the potential social impact?

We are not just looking for social innovations, we are looking for innovative ways to foster social innovation!

If you are interested in submitting, please send the following to <4SITE [at] therootspace [dot] org>

  1.   a brief (200 word max) description of the project you would like to present
  2. full contact information (name, email, phone, country of origin, organization contact info, website, twitter, etc)
  3. 4 sample slides (of the 15 final slides), and describe your presentation

Volunteers (would be great to have some volunteers on the day of the event!)

In addition to the very basic tasks in the Task List below, would be great to have a few people volunteer to help out with a few basic things at the day of the event... basically setup in the morning (9am-10am), managing the registration desk (1 hour shifts between 9am and noon), and cleanup/packup (4pm-5pm).  Please email us at <4site [at] therootspace [dot] org> if you are interested in helping out!
