What would it be?

Dear friends, as part of the techXetra 2010 festival being held in September, 2010 an event called barCamp.tezu will be organized, which is the first barCamp to be organized in the entire NorthEast. As Wikipedia describes it, “BarCamp is an international network of user generated conferences (or unconferences) - open, participatory workshop-events, whose content is provided by participants.”

In other words, a barCamp is everything a paper-presentation is not.

We therefore invite you to think of a 10 minute presentation or demonstration on any interesting, inspiring and thought-provoking idea. The expected audience will be of our own university members, invited participants and high-school children.

We are organizing a barCamp here because we have a full faith in the ability of the Tezpur University Faculty, Student, Research Scholar and resident to provide a passionate and inspiring lecture to illuminate others. That’s the point of a university, isn’t it?
