To do...
With less than two months to go there's plenty of work to do. We're always looking for collaborators. Get in touch if you can help!
- Finalize event duration (1 or 2 full days?)
- Finalize event size (ca. 200+ people?)
- Plan social event (e.g. party/tweetup Saturday night?)
- Create budget
- Identify and contact venues (Adobe? Microsoft? UC Hastings College of the Law?)
- Plan outreach (who do we want to attend? how to get the word out to folks in government?)
- Plan documentation (let's try to capture as much as we can of what comes out of CityCampSF)
- Plan food and drinks
- Identify volunteer opportunities
- Recruit volunteers
- Identify and contact potential sponsors
- Identify "bank" (who's going to handle our incoming/outgoing funds? ideally a local non-profit or otherwise capable organization)
- Finalize sponsoring rules (e.g. upper limit for cash contributions, barcamp style)
- Plan media outreach (do we want the press to be there? help us get the word out?)
- The little things
- Signage
- Name tags
- Session wall
- Large sticky notes
- Paper and markers
- Clean-up gear
- Recruit facilitator (provided we want there to be one designated facilitator)
