Location:
100 Vauxhall Walk
Vauxhall

Dear Friends,
Well, the flip chart paper is bought and the bunting is up. and tomorrow we kick off. We are excited, and hope you are too.
How to find the venue: FacilitationCamp will be taking place at the Vauxhall Gardens Community Centre, The Spring Gardens. If arriving from Vauxhall train / tube, the gardens entrance is across the road from the southern exit, just to the east of the station. Walk through the gardens to the opposite side, where the road starts again (Vauxhall Walk). The community centre is in an old warehouse just after the grey pub on the corner.

The venue was recently rescued and reclaimed for community benefit. Full of character, it is hardly a corporate conference venue, and we hope you'll appreciate the contrast. You may even fall in love with it, and the team of visionaries who rolled up their sleeves to make it happen, if you watch this short film about it: http://s.coop/2l8
Refreshments: There is a reasonably priced and delicious cafe on site, which will be open before we start until 4.30pm on both days. It is veggie and vegan and run by lovely people. Carnivores can get their fix close by if necessary.
Times: We run between 9.00am - 6.00pm on both days. However, we are not sadists and we hope this will be a fun respite from the daily grind. Please arrive sharp, for us to have time to get a cup of tea, a name tag, register, and get to meet at least a couple of people before we start at 9.30am.
Structure: This will be run as an 'Open Space' event. We will experiment with various lengths of sessions available for us to play, learn, share according to how brave we feel, from 'short burst' 20 mins, to 45 and 90 mins. Feel free to chat to us on arrival if you fancy doing something special :)
What to bring: Relax, come with a willingness to share what you know and learn what you don't. Do think about what you might offer, from a conversation you'd like to have around a subject , to a fully fledged demonstration of a technique you like. Or an unprepared, make it up as you go along explanation of a technique you like, before a supportive audience. Laptops are very welcome, please do bring them!
Last minute extras: We have enough people signed up to make this exciting, and a diverse enough array of participants to make us intrigued. However, please do Twitter (#FacilitationCamp) / mention this to anyone etc as a last minute curve-ball. I find no event is complete without one or two who heard about it an hour before the start and though 'why not?'. They will be welcomed without advance registration / payment. > http://barcamp.org/FacilitationCamp
Participants' PlaySpace: For those of you have not already done so, please join those who have told us something about yourself, even during the tea break at the event. We've added some links such as 'what is BarCamp?'.

See you there
