SAVE THE DATE!

This is is the work in progress construction page of the Mexican seminar and conference promoted by the EU Pro Ideal Plus project to inform, involve and engage primary stakeholders from Mexico as potential participants in EU funded ICT cooperation projects. The objectives of the event are to help Mexican research organisations, industry, social and economic players to:

Familiarise with the FP7 ICT programme and with the mechanisms of European funding

-      Prepare the ground to guide them in a proactive way to project proposal writing

-      Identify demand driven core issues and ICT priorities for research

-      Stimulate involvement and self-organisation of Project Angels in each country to support potential project participants in proposal idea assessment, consortium building and proposal writing.

The workshop is structured in three phases: a) information on the funding opportunities and mechanisms to participate in EU collaborative research projects; b) safari workshop to identify core areas, themes and project angels for the design of new proposals; c) support from mentors and experts in the pre-definition and screening of possible project proposals.

The interactive workshop will apply the Knowledge Safari methodology, within the framework of the Barcamp approach and tools.

A Barcamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees.
