HealthGamesCamp GameMasters

Thank you!

Thank you to all of the participants in the first HealthGamesCamp!
Thank you for playing the game with such passion and energy, and for pouring yourselves into the fabulous health-behavior-changing game designs and prototypes that were produced!

Because head-to-head game competition was important to drive excellent design in a short timeframe, we do have HealthGamesCamp winners. But we hope that all of you feel that you won something due to your involvement—new collaborators, more exposure to other industries and roles, or a larger set of tools to use when tackling big design challenges.

Tell Me More

Good health behaviors are important—sometimes lives depend on them.
But behaviors are hard to change. Old habits really do die hard.

Fortunately, there are games.
Games are a place where we embrace change, where we love being challenged, where even frustration isn't that bad.
As we immerse ourselves in games we voluntarily change our behaviors in order to win, and old habits melt away over time.

During HealthGamesCamp we collaboratively learn how games can be used to drive positive change in health behaviors.
HealthGamesCamp brings together multi-disciplinary teams for collaborative learning and co-creation.
The entire event is structured as a multi-level game out of which a variety of games or game prototypes are produced.
Both technical and non-technical attendees are involved throughout the weekend.
Some of the games will be non-digital—either board games, party games, script-based games, or alternative reality games—...
and some games will be digital—both web-based and mobile.

Together, we will learn, have fun, and create practical game solutions for real problems!

Who should attend?

You should! We'll have both physical games and digital games, so everybody can play and everyone can contribute to game creation.
