The A-Space BarCamp is an initiative, designed and driven by individuals in the Intelligence Community, to apply creative collaboration techniques and solutions to the challenges of Analytic Transformation. BarCamp is an ad-hoc unconference born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from attendees.

 

Why?

 

The 2007 Analytic Transformation Symposium uncovered many challenges facing the Intelligence Community. The Deputy Director of National Intelligence for Analysis sought input and feedback from private industry on the direction of the agenda. The concluding symposium conference held in Falls Church, VA on 11 October 2007 left some unanswered questions about how A-Space will be structured and operate in Phases II and beyond. The A-Space BarCamp is a low-cost, low-risk attempt to define A-Space's structure, operation, and inject some creative ideas about how it should serve the IC.
