The BarCampBank's MissionStatement has been discussed during our BarCampBankFlashMeeting1. For the moment, we could foresee to work and split the groups on several inter-connected clusters in the WikiNet.
- BarCampBankWikiThinkTank -> WikiThinkTank dedicated to the bank, ou wiki-hub
- BarCampBankKarma -> KarmaInitiative and WikiNet concepts. How the karma could complete/help/replace the old scoring system used in traditional banks.
- BarCampBankWikiVenture -> cf WikiVenture (micro-financement towards entrepreneurship and associations)
- BarCampBankPeerToPeerBank -> (people to people) cf PeerInvest, Credit's long tail
- BarCampBankWebtwo -> BankTwo services to be developed and retailed by bankers
- BarCampBankCommuniting --> we should define Communiting ?
- BarCampBankForBarCampProjects (as we discussed in the video conference, to associate a branch or part of our project with finding and funding BarCamp projects)
- BarCampBankPinkoMarketing : finding ways to incorporate PinkoMarketing concepts (draft:please use terse-writing to define goal-statements - Pinko is complex, real and must not be confused with gentle public-relations in the blogosphere ?)
- BarCampBankGovernance : models/proposals/knowledge base/parking lot for ideas about how BarCampBank projects might be governed. This also related to BarCampBankCommuniting, BarCampBankForBarCampProjects, BarCampBankPeerToPeerBank, BarCampBankKarma, BarCampBankWikiVenture and... BarCampBankBoard.
tag-line : PinkoMarketing ยท Non bank competition . BankRemix .
Mission statement proposals:
- "The aim of BarCampBank is to foster innovations and the creation of new business models in the world of banking and finance"
This is my (first and not final) proposal for a mission statement. I'm in favor of a rather uniting mission statement - while of course not too vague - to gather a critical mass and avoid early schisms on more specific centers of interests. -- FredericBaud
This mission statement elsewhere :
- Colin from bankwatch loved the primarily concept !
