The BarCampBank's MissionStatement has been discussed during our BarCampBankFlashMeeting1.

 

We have to find out a short resume in less of 50 words of our MissionStatement. This page is now a ball presented in the WikiNet for a public refinement process. Please join meatball:barcampbank. As we talked during our last WikiSchoolParis session in SiliconValois, some pages here could walk through the WikiNet to test some peer-review and follow-up discussion. We could foresee to work and split the groups on several inter-connected clusters in the WikiNet.

  1. BarCampBankWikiThinkTank -> WikiThinkTank dedicated to the bank, ou wiki-hub
  2. BarCampBankKarma -> KarmaInitiative and WikiNet concepts. How the karma could complete/help/replace the old scoring system used in traditional banks.
  3. BarCampBankWikiVenture -> cf WikiVenture (micro-financement towards entrepreneurship and associations)
  4. BarCampBankPeerToPeerBank -> (people to people) cf PeerInvest, Credit's long tail
  5. BarCampBankWebtwo -> BankTwo services to be developed and retailed by bankers
  6. BarCampBankCommuniting --> we should define Communiting ?
  7. BarCampBankForBarCampProjects (as we discussed in the video conference, to associate a branch or part of our project with finding and funding BarCamp projects)
  8. BarCampBankPinkoMarketing : finding ways to incorporate PinkoMarketing concepts (draft:please use terse-writing to define goal-statements - Pinko is complex, real and must not be confused with gentle public-relations in the blogosphere ?)
  9. BarCampBankGovernance : models/proposals/knowledge base/parking lot for ideas about how BarCampBank projects might be governed. This also related to BarCampBankCommuniting, BarCampBankForBarCampProjects, BarCampBankPeerToPeerBank, BarCampBankKarma, BarCampBankWikiVenture and... BarCampBankBoard.

This is my (first and not final) proposal for a mission statement. I'm in favor of a rather uniting mission statement - while of course not too vague - to gather a critical mass and avoid early schisms on more specific centers of interests. -- FredericBaud
