Extended Discussion of BarCampBankRoadMap issues:
There is some discussion on the WikiNet of people working on this project:
Between SamRose and ChristopheDucamp at CommunityWiki:SamRose about the general Roadmap of BarCampBank:
My opinion now is that this barcamp is really the opportunity and could actually provide us a good human platform for our tests on several topics :
I’ll get some french feedback next wednesday during our wiki-school monthtly session. OddWiki could be very cool to integrate in a WikiOhana 101. Really think each member of the BCB should be able to navigate in the WikiNet and to have some skills like :
- understanding the overall interwiki-structures
- ability to update a personal wiki (OddWiki)
- ability to detach any branch in WikiFractality (ProWiki)

Barcampbank Flashmeeting 1 outputs
(FR) Les banques accordent une importance très forte à la stabilité de l’historique des demandeurs. Les clients qui ont connu des périodes d’instabilités dans leur vie professionnelle ou personnelle se retrouvent exclus du crédit.
(EN) The banks attach a very strong importance to the stability of the history of the applicants. The customers who knew periods of instabilities in their professional or personal life find excluded from the credit.
(EN) Certain criteria of “scoring banking” seem too restrictive and do not allow a number of requests to pass the stage of the simulation of credit. The systems of scoring parameterized by the banks are indeed made to answer favorably at the requests of appropriations emanating from the “standard” customers (constant incomes, professional stability, presence of a personal capital contribution).

Here's an example of a peer to peer bank strucutre that is in successful use in the US right now:

That's really interesting. This echoes a lot of the investigations I'm doing right now. From a BarCampBank perspective, I see two things. First, when we are a bit more structured, I would love to have BarCampBank invite a representative of the Schumacher Society to present their organization in a Web/FlashMeeting to the community. Second, I think it would perfectly fall within BarCampBank's objectives (cf. BarCampBankMissionStatement) to try gathering momentum to build an IT platform to scale up Schumacher Society's reach (if they feel a need for it). -- FredericBaud
Hi Frédéric, hi Sam, hi all. Sorry for this lack of interaction, our work was tough last week in our traditional bank. Would you have a link or two to know more about Schumacher Society ? Think, it's a cool suggestion to invite people in any virtual or real BarCamp meetup.
I'd be interested to talk and invite the well known activist ChristopheAguitton. During BarCampParis3, Christophe told me he was interested by our BarCampBank project and that we could have the opportunity to meet Jacques Attali ? Unfortunately,no news of Christophe for this proposal ? Pehraps LouisMontagne could help us to reach him.
Elsewhere good news this morning in the "Journal du Dimanche" : really amazed to discover by this "Grameen Danone Foods" venture made around Yunus (inventor of microcredit) with Franck Riboud (Danone) and our french Zizou !
Un microcrédit finance l'achat des vaches, la récolte du lait et la livraisons de pots...
And PierrePhilippeCormeraie last friday talking about Yunus and microcredit :
D'après la Grameen, le modèle économique a fait ses preuves puisque 99% des emprunteurs remboursent leurs crédits.(source PPC)
Nice insights to consolidate our mission statement ? Agree that "small is beautiful". But how about an ambitious challenge to build strong and small unified groups in the WikiNet with an implied goal of organic development ?
About our PatternLanguage for this BarCampBankRoadMap. How about trying here ? I just dropped a first draft on top (in the Document section) which should be completed. So feel at ease to refactor this page merciless.
Sure that LoiezDeniel or SiliconValois could help us to organize a BarCampBankFlashMeeting with an informal meeting in Paris. Next week if you want ? May I suggest first to organize an agenda on BarCampBankFlashMeeting2. A form of pre-StructuredMeeting. Thoughts ? Just le me know about your availabilities if you're interested. Have a nice week-end. For all those who write me on my personal mailbox, I'm sorry to say I don't read them anymore. Inefficient, too much spam and not good for our health. Please could we agree to base all our conversations in this small WikiNet ? Cheers. -- ChristopheDucamp
I'm interested in participating to a meeting next week. I'll give a few thoughts about what I'd like to see in the agenda and contribute on BarCampBankFlashMeeting2.
I think it would be good for BarCampBank's exposure if we could get some prestigeous guests come and present topics during Flash Meeting sessions. This does not necessarily sound like standard barcamps, but I think we could use some top-down information flow from people like Jacques Attali. With proper communication, this could drive a wider audience to BarCampBank and let them know that BarCampBank is "also" about creating a community of people willing to change things. -- FredericBaud
Frédéric. Nice to hear strong ideas. Let me try to refactor :
Gee. Think it will be time to refactor all this page on a BarCampBankRoadMapDiscussion. A small walk on the WikiNet could pehraps help us to have a better exposure. I'd be very happy to interact again with Sam on CommunityWiki. It's late, very tired now. Will come back soon. Good night Fred. Take care. We have time. WikiNet is not a collective blog ;-) -- ChristopheDucamp
