PURPOSE
BarCamp is an ad-hoc un-conference born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from attendees. All attendees must give a demo, a session, or help out in some way. Anyone with something to contribute or with the desire to learn is welcome and invited to join.
SETUP
- there will be several separate rooms for presentations/demos
- you will be able to propose your speech/demo on a public board the day itself
- all questions/remarks/suggestions to peter _at_ forret _dot_ com
CONTRIBUTE
As stated above, everyone should contribute in some way. Some options:
- do a presentation on something you feel strong about (see TOPICS)
- do a demo of a software/tool/proof of concept (see TOPICS)
- take pictures of the event and make the good ones public
- do a podcast (audio/video) of the event and make it public
- taking (semi-) professional portraits of attendees (that they can put on their blog)
- doing something neat for side-animation (playing jazz, mixing cocktails, doing card tricks)
- help with preparations before/cleaning-up afterwards
- just writing a post on your blog is not enough - you must participate at the event itself!

WHEN
Now there's a good question. My initial idea was to do only 1 evening, but that might be too short (depending on # attendees/presenters of course). I would like to extend to a full day or maybe even 2 (with possibility to sleep over) But Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Sunday? All feedback is welcome!
