What is BarCamp?

BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants. The name BarCamp was inspired as a complement to FooCamp. Variations of BarCamp have started in Canada such as: DemoCamp (lighter more regular gathering), CaseCamp (marketing-oriented), AmazonCamp, InteractionCamp etc..
