Bar Camp Cape Town (Formally BarCampSouthAfrica)

What's The Big Idea?

Bar Camp South AfricaWelcome to the initial planning phases of BarCampCapeTown. The idea is to bring the South African tech/geek/creative community together under one roof in the informal "un-conference" environment as per the Bar Camp Ethos. Think of it as Open-Source conferencing, this is YOUR conference, you present, you discuss, you attend, you spread the word.

When

We are hoping for a date somewhere around the end of June, but this is all still very flexible.

The event could be either one or two days depending on the interest. If the event is too be held over more than 1 day, we would like to try and find a location that would allow out-of-towners to "camp" out at the venue. (Emphases on TRY)

Where

Somewhere in Cape Town. Venue TBA. Ideas?

Sponsors (Who/What)

Please let us know if you have a cool sponsorship lead, or if you wish to contribute.

We would need thinks like chairs, tables, projectors and screens, PA equipment, free WiFi, catering, beverages, a venue (at this stage very important), cash etc. etc.

Thats it for now, please blog about this event and use the tag: BarCampCapeTown
