BarCamp Cape Town

What's The Big Idea?

Woot! BarCamp Cape Town is coming, again!

BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees.

Everyone is encouraged to present anything that they feel other geeks would find interesting. Have a look at the first BarCamp in Cape Town for the varied topics (and the funky logo):

Space WILL be limited. Sorry guys, it needs to be small and intimate. Details will follow once we have a venue.

Power leads and powerstrips -> a real pain, there is never enough

 

Non-tech

a venue -> crucial

wine (!) -> depends on the time of day obviously, last time lots where left over but makes nice gifts

t-shirts -> nice to have

coffee -> decent stuff, but will probably be filter only for practicality reasons

food/snacks -> i suggest we make this BYO

chairs and tables -> tables are nice

a logo -> we have this already, will need to speak to Damien and Mark about how useable the files are that we have up on Flickr, seem to be large enough

Breakfast -> nah, people tend to not want

Lunch -> super important
