The Prequel

We're thinking of organizing some local DemoCamp events, starting with DemoCampDC1, to build a community and learn how to do this 'Camp thing before putting on a full-fledged BarCamp.

Where

We're currently discussing venue ideas. Your input is welcome!

Our ideal venue would:

  • be accessible via Metro and via automobile
  • allow people to sleep over
  • allow food and drink
  • have restrooms
  • have space for about 75 people during the day
  • have wireless 'net connectivity
  • be cheap or free

When

  • to be determined

Planning/discussion

We should certainly publicize this event to geeky groups around DC when we come up with a date and place. Maybe we should also hit them up for help planning?

Hosts

To be determined.

Campers

We should come up with a simple way for people to add themselves to an announcement list, where they're notified when the details are decided upon.
