Connect 2007 was created to bring together developers, bloggers, podcacsters, designers and more, to meet, "Connect", and share ideas on improving what they do. Also, there will be interactive sessions, demos, and more to showcase talent and initiatives. The purpose of the Jacksonville location is to get people "excited" about technology in the North East Florida area, and to find out where web designers/developers are in Jacksonville and the First Coast.

 

A BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees. If you're not familiar with what BarCamp is, I'd recommend reading the rules.

 

Anyone with something to contribute or with the desire to learn is welcome and invited to join.

 

When you come, be prepared to share with barcampers.

When you leave, be prepared to share it with the world.

Likely, we're aiming for June or July, dodging Fathers day and the 4th of July.

 

Where (TBA)

This is to be announced but I think UNF is the best spot with the convience of the Town Center and a hotel nearby. We could go to the Cheese Cake Factory the night before. There is a hotel right next to the town center where everyone could stay, where its walking distance to an Apple Store, Barnes and Noble Ritz Camera, Target, etc etc.Needless to say if you come early or need something, you wont have a problem.
