What is a BarCamp?

BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants.

Attendance is free, but attendees are strongly encouraged to give a presentation or a demo of some kind. For more information, refer to Wikipedia's entry on BarCamp.

When is the next BarCamp Melbourne?

The next BarCamp Melbourne is scheduled for the 1st and 2nd of March 2008. We're currently trying to secure a venue for this weekend, and will update this page when more details are available.

How do I register?

Although attendance is free, you must register. This allows us to ensure we have sufficient capacity and, pending sponsorship, food and drink. To register, please add your name to this list.

How can I support BarCamp Melbourne?

Other than turning up and helping making this event as useful and enjoyable as possible through participation, we are currently looking for sponsors. Find out how to sponsor BarCamp Melbourne.
