BarCampOhio limps along.

It is now February 2007. The month I had planned to hold BarCampOhio, but that was way back in November 2006. Sigh.

But now I'm ready to focus, once again, on launching BarCampOhio!

Look for it to happen in spring if all goes well with my (new) employer!!

Okay. Here's the opening salvo: BarCampOhio is an effort get a bunch of Ohioans together who care about technology or just how people use it (or are abused by it).

We've blogged about it from the Buckeye State. We may have been to a conference elsewhere and heard about it. Or maybe we just read about it in Biz 2.0.

Well. We're wallflowers no more! We're joining the dance.

I propose to make this a PowerPoint-free zone. I'd love to get someone to donate some portable whiteboards, giant sticky notes or something similar. I'll take stick figures over transitions any day!

I think powerpoint is ok, but should be limited to 5-15min type demos or talks. If it enables people to express themselves don't take that way. Just change it up a little on them. Ideally it would be great to have whiteboards and stickeys everywhere, but heck we got what 3 people here so far?! heh.. -dan
