Who's talking about us
What is it?
What is BarCampOttawa? Think of it as a way to get the tech/geek community together in Ottawa. Only one thing is certain: It's up to you to decide. The most important thing you should take away from the event? Relationships with other geeks in Ottawa!
(As stolen from BarCampNYC, as copied from...) BarCamp is an ad-hoc un-conference born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from attendees. All attendees must give a demo, a session, or help with one.
Anyone with something to contribute or with the desire to learn is welcome and invited to join.
When you come, be prepared to share with barcampers. When you leave, be prepared to share it with the world.

Proposed Sessions
- How about one on fixing the rampant problem of late software? (Craig)
When
Looks like April, 2006.
Where
We're still looking for a venue. There are a couple under consideration, but feel free to mail if you've got a suggestion.
Cost
Free as in beer. But there's a catch. Attendees are expected to contribute back to the conference by participating actively. "Active participation" might mean giving a presentation, helping with a presentation, blogging or podcasting the event, or whatever other creative ways to contribute people can come up with.
Sponsors (Who/what)
Stay tuned. We'll be looking for sponsors for lunch, t-shirts, etc.
