Barcamp Singapore 3 is here!

Date: Saturday, 28 Feb 2009

Venue: Ngee Ann Polytechnic Blk 27, Level 2 (Teaching and Learning Centre), 535 Clementi Road, Singapore 599489

Objective:

To bring together Infocomm professionals and also key people working in the energy, media, bio-tech and other industries to collective think of ideas that can be developed amidst the sluggish market conditions.

What will happen at the BarCamp?

"BarCamp is an ad-hoc un-conference born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from attendees."

The attendees are encouraged (though it is not compulsory) to give a demo, a session, or help with one. We have 5 rooms with projectors and white boards where these sessions can be conducted. The entire venue has open wi-fi.  Sessions can be any format - a presentations/discussions/panel etc. Each session is 30 minutes long. We recommend you present for 20 minutes and keep 10 minutes for audience questions.

Come at around 9 AM and submit a session for presentation by writing your topic on the "wall". The attendees will then vote for the topics they want to hear. We will pick the topics according to the number of votes they have received and assign them to the rooms.  We repeat this again in the afternoon during the lunch break.

Presenters are responsible for making sure that notes/slides/audio/video of their presentations are published on the web for the benefit of all and those who can’t be present.  Anyone with something to contribute or with the desire to learn is welcome and invited to join.

This time in Singapore, we are trying an hybrid approach. We are letting about 50% of the session to be pre-registered. Some presenters have already registered via the "Speaker Registration" form below. If you register now, we can give you a confirmed slot.
