Date
We have decided to do -
28 February (Sat) to 1 March (Sun) 2009
There may be pre-event activities on 27 February (Fri).
Location
A few locations were floated but the firmest being Meng's block of condominiums in Holland Village that can accommodate up to 400.
Meng, fill in the details here
Alternative locations floated up were -
* SMU
* A Combined Location of Google SG and Redhat SG offices
* Singapore Poly
* Republic Poly
Format
The meeting really wanted to do a Barcamp Singapore 3 that is as close as possible to a true Barcamp.
There were concerns about the format raised by Preetam, Claxton and Meng.
What seems to be coming from the discussions is that we need a balance of some pre-planned sessions and spontaneity.
KQ: Personally, I would like to see a Format Committee being formed. I would nominate Claxton, Preetam and Meng into it as I think they have seen a very good mix of success and failures.
Logistics
If Meng's place goes through, here's what we need -
* 20 fans
* 300 chairs (at 50cents each - Jiinjoo?)
* 5 projectors
* 5 whiteboards
Some of these estimates are of course a function of how many tracks we actually do.
Luxury Stuff
* 200 T-shirts
* All meals covered
