How to Get There:
The Edison Exploratorium 136 Broadway Schenectady New York
By Train:
The Schenectady Amtrak Station is behind the Edison Exploratorium. Take the train, and then walk around the block.
By Bus:
Greyhound and the local bus service (CDTA) have a bus station in Schenectady at State Street and Ferry Ave. This is three blocks away from the Edison Exploratorium. From the bus station, walk east down State Street to Broadway and turn north one building.
By Boat or Ship:
-- From Canada -- Take the Erie Canal from Lake Erie to the Mohawk River until Lock 8 (Schenectady). There is a public marina on the north side of the River at Scotia's Freedom Park. There is a public boat landing on the south side of the river at Schenectady Community College for amphibious vehicles. From either location, take State Street east to Erie, then turn north on Erie. Turn at the train station, and take Liberty Street one block to Broadway.
-- From Central and South America -- Take the East Coast of the United States, and enter the Hudson River at New York City. Follow the Hudson River north until Cohoes, and then enter the Mohawk River. Go west to Lock 8. At Lock 8 follow directions given for Boat travel from Canada.
By Submarine:
Unfortunately the Erie Canal is not deep enough for a standard submarine.
By Private Plane:
Land at the Schenectady Airport in Glenville. This is approximately 5 miles away from the Edison Exploratorium, and is serviced by taxi's and the local bus service.
By Major Airline:
Land at Albany International Airport. The airport is serviced by the local bus service and taxi's.
By Parachute:
Land at the Mohawk Skydiving Club in Scotia along Route 5. The Edison Exploratorium is approximately 4 miles away. Either canoe, kayak, or walk along Mohawk River until the State Street Bridge in Schenectady.
By Bicycle:
