Announcing BarCampWashDC, to be held April 4, beginning immediately after close of F2C (5:00pm) in Silver Spring MD at Mi Rancho (walking distance see map here)

 

 

BarCampWashDC continues on April 5, beginning at 9:00 AM in the conference room of

Bingham_McCutchen, Jefferson Court Building, 1025 Thomas Jefferson Street, Washington, DC 20007

 

      • Enter courtyard from 31st and K Streets and look for East Lobby. The conference room is on 6th floor. If lost or need directions leave message at 202.250.3838.

 

You are welcome to show up even if you were unable to make the preceeding evening's festivities.

Here's what happened at BarCampWashDC:

 

  1. Started a wiki resource page, netneutrality.pbwiki.com, to explain the issues, collect comments on bills and amendments from the tech community, start a database of emails to use to rally the population, generate ideas for protests, track articles, etc. -- Please contribute your Ideas! Password is F2C--
  2. Discussed issues relevant to Net Neutrality, including the idea that while it works for Congress, it's not a great motto to use to rally the troops
  3. Listened to House of Representatives hearings about COPA, or "Barton's bill", on Wednesday afternoon 4/5.
