Web2.0 unconference (BarcampHyderabad)

Barcamp Hyderabad is in the series of BarCamps being organized around the world- an adhoc Technology “Unconference” format. Here there are no spectators and everyone participates. Either deliver brief talks, a demo or atleast actively interact. (Inspired by the announcement of BarcampDelhi; that event went off very well on Mar 4th. Now, we are collaborating with BarCampChennai in organizing both our camps.)

post-mortem (event went off well.. on 8th April)

Great event today!!

Post about what you think about how the barcamp went at the postmortem page. If you have blogged about barcamp hyderabad then do leave a link at http://barcamp.org/BarCampHyderabadPostMortem

Check out the presentations here. And..

The next event's planning has already started :-)- BarCamp Hyderabad #2. On Mobile Apps & Infrastructure in the next gen internet.)

(Update March 2007: Fourth camp planning underway.. )

Three cheers to the Hyderabad Tech commmunity (and few that came over from Bangalore, Pune & Mumbai). The event was a tremendous success. Was more or less on time. Great attendance. And tremendous participation from everyone. Few adhoc sessions. In all a great event! In true adhoc UnConference style! Everyone is hoping to see mreo of this. We will prettyy soon annoucne the next BarCamp. Due probably in about 4 months!

Barcamp hyderabad was a fantastic success with close to as many 180 people who turned up for the event. The event ran a little after dinner and even then there was about 80+ people hanging out there. !

As discussed in the barcamp , this is not just an one off event, we plan to have more of this. It is the begining of building a vibrant community in hyderabad. To help take this further we have put up a blogroll and blog to colloborate. Do enroll your blog into the blogroll and also cross post your posts at the colloborative blog

FAQ

(Just add any queries here. Or mail to barcamphyderabad@yahoogroups.com )

Q. Do I need to have a blog to partciapte?

A. No. Not needed. But we urge all participants to use the event as a trigger to start new blogs.

Q. Do I need to deliver a session or demo? Can I just attend?

A. You sure can. In the spirit of the event (non-pedagogic & participatory), will be nice to have everyone particpate actively. IN the least ask a lot of questions! :-)

Q. Do I need to strictly stick to the theme?

A. No. Any area related or even "contrary" to the theme is fine. While there is a broad theme, there is no rigid scope. Any topics relating to web are welcome for discussion.

Q. What if I am interested in the sessions, but unable to attend

A. We will have the presentation (PPTs) and podcasts available on the site "live".. and archived for later.
