BzaarCamp – Milan, Saturday Sep 30th 2006
What is BzaarCamp? Think of it as a bazaar or, in other words, as a way to get individuals from the tech/geek, art, digital, media, gaming communities together in Milan. What will happen during the event? Only one thing is certain: It's up to you to decide! The most important thing you should take away from the event? Ideas and relationships with other people!
(You can find out more about the BarCamp movement and the rules and principles of being an attendee on the RulesOfBarCamp page. Please make sure you understand what a BarCamp is before you sign up!)
How - Italian or English?
Please help us keeping this wiki international, as to allow participation and contribution from non-Italian speakers too.
As for the Camp itself, if no foreigner shows up, the event will be obviously held in Italian. Likewise, in the event of non-Italian speaking attendees, please consider helding your presentation in English, or arrange to have a translator.
When
Please vote on alternatives adding a plus (+) sign to your favourite
- Saturday Sep 30th, 2006 (this is not yet definitive, suggest alternatives). Duration and exact timings of the event are still to be confirmed, depending on the venue and the number of participants. Ideally the whole saturday, starting around 10am end cleaning up at 8pm
- Sunday?
- The OpenEXP conference is on Saturday Sept 30th... should you change the date on sunday? -- fullo
What about a drink or pizza after the event? Maybe an Idearium DrinkLink?!
Where
Venue definition in progress, see below.
If you have any ideas please add your suggestions here.
Requirements are:
- Wifi, or plenty of cables
- would be nice to have enough room (and people) to keep at least a couple of parallel "tracks" (simultaneous speeches/presentations)
How much should it cost? Price limit?
We are now at budget "0". This can change if we decide to have sponsors, which could mean also free drinks or the like.
Since the attendee list is growing fast and we still have no fixed location, I'm putting a cap at the number of participants, until we can find a venue and know exactly how many can attend
We now have a venue (still to be confirmed). The max capacity is 50 people, so the attendee list has been expanded accordingly.
Who - Attendees
Please sign up below.
Please keep this list to a maximum of 50 participants, since we don't have a venue yet and would be really disappointing to leave somebody out at the last minute.
In the case you want to join and all the 50 "seats" are occupied, please add yourself to the Waiting List and possibly help us find a suitable location for the event!
