Camp Méditerrané

A sketch of an idea...

• Summer 2010.
• A series of conversations, meetups, barcamps all around the Mediterranean.
• A collaborative journey in between places, worlds, cultures.
• A North-South, East-West, Orient-Occident cross-pollination.
• Some travel required. No shortage of topics.
• This could unfold over the course of six weeks or so with all kinds of events happening (in parallel) in various places. Participants would be asked to make an effort to include some travel, ideally to places they’ve never been before (as long as they can afford it, of course).
• If anyone is into cruises, here's a potential route (from West to East): Cordoba, somewhere in Sicily, Carthago, Istanbul, Cyprus, Beirut. Or the otherway around. Some folks could travel all the way, other might join for just a few stops. Plus local events could take place wherever the ship makes landfall.
• Soccer World Cup between June 11 and July 11, 2010.
