About
A DemoCamp is a lighter-weight style of un-conference. A DemoCamp lasts only a few hours, and includes networking opportunities. Unlike a BarCamp, you don't have to present. You are welcome to come along and give feedback to the people who do (or just watch and absorb if you don't feel like talking). Demos should have roughly a 2 minute introduction, 8 minute demonstration, and 5 minutes for questions. 15 minutes total. The presentations for this DemoCamp are below on this page.

- What's the difference between a DemoCamp & a BarCamp?
- A DemoCamp is a lighter-weight style of un-conference. A DemoCamp last only a few hours on a weekday evening, as opposed to a traditional BarCamp which would usually be a multi-day event and take place on a weekend. As such, they are easier to organize and tend to happen more frequently.

- We'd like to build an active community for people in the DC area to show up and informally share geeky stuff. Do you have a tool, a piece of software, a set of scripts, new toy, hardware hacks that you want feedback on? Bring it. Show it. Share! Eventually we'd like to organize a BARCampDC as a weekend-long version of DemoCampDC1.

- What facilities are available?
- There will be a projector and sound system available, with VGA and mini-stereo connectors, and a basic PC (running Windows) available. There are outlets at every seat and a wireless access point will be provided.
- What's up with the room change?
- We were bumped out by Google (large corporation versus student-scheduled event: no contest); they requested the old room (1115) from 4-8pm. They usually run 5-6:30pm, so I don't think there will an actual time conflict per se. In good news, if you might get to listen to a Google talk and recruiting pitch right before DemoCamp.
