About
A DemoCamp is a lighter-weight style of un-conference. A DemoCamp lasts only a few hours, and includes networking opportunities. Unlike a BarCamp, you don't have to actively participate. You are welcome to come along and give feedback to the people who do (or just watch and absorb if you don't feel like talking). Demos should have roughly a 2 minute introduction, 8 minute demonstration, and 5 minutes for questions. 15 minutes total. The presentations for this DemoCamp are below on this page.
Do you have a web site or web application, tool, a piece of software, a set of scripts, new toy, hardware hacks that you want feedback on? Bring it. Show it. Share!
Rules
- Rule #1 of DemoCamp: Talk about DemoCamp!
- Rule #2 of DemoCamp: No slides / PowerPoint, only working software, websites, hardware, etc.
Demos
If you have a demo, please list your name, contact info, and demo title here. If there are more demos than available slots (currently six), we will invite attendees to vote prior to the event. Alternates will also be selected.
Example demos: web site, application software for Mac, PC, or Linux, hardware device.
- name, contact info, demo title
Sponsors
We are currently seeking sponsors for the combined BarCamp/DemoCamp Portland event. Please see the BarCampPortland page for more information.
Volunteers
- Logo Design - need bagdes and logo, based on the DemoCamp standard website.
Attendees
Please add your name to this list if you are planning to attend. Although DemoCampPortland1 will be taking place during BarCampPortland, we are tracking attendees separately to insure that we have adequate space at the combined venue to accommodate both events.
