About

A DemoCamp is a lighter-weight style of un-conference. A DemoCamp lasts only a few hours, and includes networking opportunities. Unlike a BarCamp, you don't have to actively participate. You are welcome to come along and give feedback to the people who do (or just watch and absorb if you don't feel like talking). Demos should have roughly a 2 minute introduction, 8 minute demonstration, and 5 minutes for questions. 15 minutes total. The presentations for this DemoCamp are below on this page.

Do you have a web site or web application, tool, a piece of software, a set of scripts, new toy, hardware hacks that you want feedback on? Bring it. Show it. Share!

Rules of DemoCampPortland

  • Rule #1: Talk about DemoCamp! Spread the word!
  • Rule #2: No slides / PowerPoint, only working software, websites, hardware, etc.
  • Rule #3: 15 minutes and you're off the stage, no time extensions.
  • Rule #4: You do not have to be a Portland-area resident to present, but local participation is highly encouraged.

Attendees

Please add your name to this list if you are planning to attend. Although DemoCampPortland1 will be taking place during BarCampPortland, we are tracking attendees separately to understand the space needs for the morning and afternoon (BarCampPortland) vs. the evening (DemoCampPortland1). Our intention is to secure a combined venue to accommodate both events.
