- Date: Tuesday, July 4th, 2006
- Time: 6:30 - 8:00
- Location: No Regrets, 42 Mowat Ave., Toronto, ON. We'll stay right where we are for the drinks and socializing so plan to hang out a bit longer and really get a chance to meet the community! (The location is No Regrets and MollyGuard event summary has been updated).
- Expected Attendance: All are welcome! Please note that the venue can't hold more than 150 people, so we're pretty much limited to that. It's important that everyone signs up through MollyGuard.com so we know our numbers. Thanks!
Mini-FAQ
- What's the point?
- Building on the success of the initial TorCamp and the first DemoCamp, we want to continue to develop an active startup community in Toronto. Do you have a tool, a piece of software, a set of scripts, new toy, hardware hacks that you want feedback on? Bring it. Show it. Share!
- Who can come?
- Everyone is welcome! We're using Mollyguard to handle event signups so we get everyone's email addresses to use for nefarious purposes (like letting you all know if there's a change to the event! Bwahahahaha!), so please sign up there.
- What are the rules?
- Rule #1 of DemoCamp: Talk about DemoCamp ;)
- Rule #2 of DemoCamp: No powerpoints allowed. Why no .ppt ? Well, do you have working software or don't you?
- Do I have to have a demo?
- Nope! You are welcome to come along and give feedback to the people who do (or just watch and absorb if you don't feel like talking).
- Have another question?
- Join the mailing list ask your question, and someone will answer it for you.
Demo Schedule and Format
Note To Demonstrators: - Puppy Machine Productions will be filming the presentations with the intent of creating a video podcast of Demo Camp. Any demonstrating groups who do NOT want their demo published in the video podcast should email Kristan Uccello. Also, if any demonstrating group wants to have a follow up interview with the Puppy Machine Productions producers please send an email to Chandra Bulucon. Thanks!
We will have 5 demos, demos should follow roughly 2 minute introduction, 8 minute demonstration, 5 minutes for questions.
All presenters should read Tips for presenting at DemoCamp. There are 5 available presentations that are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Attendees:
IMPORTANT MINI-ANNOUNCEMENT: We're now using MollyGuard to handle the event 'registration', so please sign up with them on the official page. The change was made to keep administration easier and to actually have a list of everyone attending with contact information in case we need to let people know of changes to the event or of future events. Please note that the venue can't hold more than 150 people, so we're pretty much limited to that. It's important that everyone signs up through MollyGuard.com so we know our numbers. Thanks!
- If you are planning on demoing, make sure you add yourself to the Demo Schedule too
MollyGuard doesn't seem to have an easy way for us to export an always up-to-date attendee list in an easy to post format, so feel free to add yourself here as well:
