Hi, I'm Noel Hidalgo and i'm an avid drupal user/political organizer/mechanic in new york city. Last year we had a DIY Drupal/CivicSpace day after the Personal Democracy Confrenece (PDF). This year we are fortunate to have a whole weekend before the PDF to plan a similar event.

My goal is to foster the following...
1. Drupal Users - two days masticating on drupal (tracks: new users, theme, modules, civicrm, massmailing, etc.)
2. Political Bloggers - a forum for NYC political bloggers to connect and discuss issues/business issues
I hope this will be an open and collaborative session involving many types of drupal users, political talkingheads and community activists.
What to do
- location - we are looking for space in manhattan or brooklyn. must be subway accessible and have HIGH speed internet access
- promotions - to spam all drupal/civicspace users who live in the NYC area or on east coast and anyone attending the PDF
- find individual and organizational sponsors
