This year we are breaking our journey in Coventry UK. After an exciting stop in London, ecoCamp is now heading to the West Midlands to bring a new bunch of bright minds together to discuss, learn, brainstorm, network and create valuable conversations that can change the world! Why not, we like to think big.

When

Saturday 12th December 2009 (yes, right in the middle of the Copenhagen Climate Summit)

Where

Coventry Transport Museum

How

ecoCampCoventry will happen in parallel with Innovative Future, a 3-day conference & exhibition that will highlight a range of innovative low carbon solutions

Who

- Carmen Boscolo, sustainability manager, @carmenhere

- Julius Solaris, events geek and coffee lover, @tojulius

- Matthew Terrell, designer, @MattTerrell

Rules

ecoCamp's rules are based on Harrison Owen's Open Space Technology

- No pre-scheduling: sessions will be proposed on the day

- Whoever comes is the right people

- Whatever happens is the only thing that could have

- Whenever it starts is the right time: we care about creativity and participation, more than over- scheduling

- When it's over, it's over: don't waste time, move on to something else when the fruitful discussion ends

The law of the two feet

If you feel you are not contributing to or getting anything out of a session, you “must take responsibility to use your two feet, and move to a new session where you can make a difference. This departure need not be made in anger or hostility, but only after honouring the people involved and the space they occupy. By word or gesture, indicate that you have nothing further to contribute, wish them well, and go and do something useful.”

Start Participating

Join our community and start contributing, meeting people, engaging in discussions and creating contents that will then move offline on the day of the event.
