The event is designed to focus on pedagogical issues around eLearning/blended-learning scenarios through a series of participant driven discussion, demos and interaction.

What started the idea for EduCampLondon?
EduCampLondon was imagined in a coffee shop during a development meeting, with a few scribbles and rough drawings in February 2009.
Tim proposed the idea of organising an un-conference under the name of EduCamp given his familiarity with barcamp style of networking. Harold instinctively knew that an unconference would break the mould and seeing the potential suggested calling it EduCampLondon as a way of giving it a geographical identiy.
From the start they imagined an event that would include student's participation in sharing their experience with senior management, academic and support staff.
This starting point enthused them to identify an organisation to host the un-conference and team-up with suitable sponsors.
They have no dobts as to the central role of Web2.0 technologies as collaboration and sharing tools to communicate with audiences and enhance the learner's experience.
Tim Bush and Harold Fricker collaborate across a number succesful initiatives promoting the adoption of learning technologies as well as providing advice and support to develop a range of creative learning solutions for HE.
"We are delighted that Central Saint Martins is hosting EduCampLondon. The Innovation Centre is the perfect place to share best practice in an informal, dynamic and productive style of learning, this is a refreshing way to network and meet new ideas and people. Learning is about interacting and engaging with people and ideas across a range of platforms. And we just love it!"
