What is a potential sponsor supposed to do if they receive this e-mail?
I think they should look at the spreadsheet and reply with how much they are able to commit, with the understanding that someone will contact them on details about how the funds would be handled. Perhaps a summary at the top that makes this explicit?
Something like:

Take a look at the attached spreadsheet and come back to us with an idea of how much you'd be able to commit to. We'll contact you about the administrative details.
Do we have a view about how many sponsors we want? I like the idea of having more sponsors rather than one or two major sponsors. It seems to me to fit the whole grassroots feel of BarCamp.
