Qu'est-ce qu'un GPU Camp ?
Un GPU Camp est un événement communautaire focalisé sur la technologie des processeurs graphiques GPU et sur les possibilités offertes par les puissances de calcul (TéraFlops) des cartes graphiques. De nombreux secteurs (énergie, finance, biologie, vidéo, simulation, ...) s'intéressent de près aux gains apportés par ces nouvelles méthodes de calcul (GPGPU) dont le ratio prix/performance est sans commune mesure avec d'autres architectures. Ce GPUCamp est une grande première, ce thème n'ayant jamais été abordé "in extenso" à l'occasion d'un BarCamp.
